That was my rationale when I bought my first one - I got the 15gb instead of the 10gb.
When it was stolen and I had to replace it, I bought the 15 because I already had the dock.
I have an old remote that I need to get fixed anyways, and I already had the dock.
Fact of the matter is, the remote is really the only useful peripheral; the case is ok, and the dock isn't very useful at all.

One thing I don't understand? Sharepoint [WSS] is already included in SBS 2003 and thus there is no need to download it?
SBS2k3 comes with a POPconnector included as well. The POP that is referred to as disabled is for external pop pulling.
Are you installing "Portal Server" which is a totally different product or "Windows Sharepoint Services" which is already under the hood and configures itself as "
http://companyweb"
during the install?
During the SBS install Sharepoint will be directed to port 444 [to co-exist with OWA on port 443]
Follow the wizards and it does all this set up for you.

Susan, you are right it is included with the SBS CD. However the installation that is included has a number of older files that the version that you can download.
WSS 2.0 is the "free" product that comes with Windows 2003. Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 is an additional cost. Most individuals will not be using SPS but just WSS. SBS has an aggregation theme in mind, I mean it allows you to search and index many different sources, i.e. public folders, many wss sites, files etc..
Thanks for bringing up the wizard. I have to write about Migrating my SBS installation to a new server at a future time. This is one of the main reasons I wasn't using the wizard the second time around.
So far I am not sure why I need to use a different port for SSL and OWA. If you add the security policy to the OWA web.config you should be fine. Everything is humming along well on the same site.

Sorry for the non-descriptive comment. Here it goes:
I've installed SharePoint Portal Server on a box whose name is A2004SP. The domain name is A2004.
I've installed Exchange Server 2003 on a different box called MAILEXSP, joining the domain: A2004.
I'm creating a portal for the users, and each user will have their Inbox, in My Site. The problem I'm having is that the portal asks for auth the first time (A2004\JDOE) and then, when the users clicks on My Site, the portal asks again for authorization but now on each of the webPart.
I've followed the steps you depicted in your post, but I've been unable to find a solution... and I've been researching in the newsgroups and Microsoft knowledge base and nothing...
I have seen a lot of questions regarding this issue, but little answers... do you have a hint for this?

It seems that this solution only works with everything on the same machine, i.e. SBS. I would try investigating the Single Sign-On service which is included with Portal Server, if that is what you are using.
Have you tried using the OWA webparts instead of the page viewer? They should be located in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\SPSPERS\LISTS\WPLIB\DWP folder. I will try however to figure out a solution.

I'm using the OWA WebParts, and the result is the same. Found a solution that if I add the domains to the trusted zone, the problem will go away... but this will not work for us, because the users can login from their houses to work on the webpage and they may not have the domains in the trusted zone or use a diferent browser. (Check this:
http://groups.google.com.mx/groups?hl=es&lr=&ie=UTF-8&threadm=ez0%23cGbGEHA.2052%40TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl&rnum=16&prev=/groups%3Fq%3Dsharepoint%2Bowa%2Bwebpart%26start%3D10%26hl%3Des%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26selm%3Dez0%2523cGbGEHA.2052%2540TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl%26rnum%3D16
)
SSO will not work, because the OWA webParts are just an IFrame for the Exchange Server.
I've been searching a lot in the newsgroups and this is a very common issue, but nobody posts a solution...
I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Yes the zone of where your machine will dictate to what sites credentials will be automatically sent. In my case, the external addresses are in the internet zone and the myhome.local domain is considered local intranet. The security setting are set to automatically login in the local intranet.
Now to the problem at hand. I believe we may have a delegation issue. We will probably need to enable the protocol transfer extensions to the kerberos protocol in Windows 2003. To be able to delegate the credentials off of the web server. I wont be able to look at this for a few days but this will be the path I will be looking down.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the help... I'm still trying to find a solution to this problem... I have contacted Microsoft Support here in Mexico and they were less than helpful.
I'm going to be checking on your blog to see if you have another idea... thanks again!
By the way, I've posted a diagram on the problem; check if out ... this may have more sense:

I've had to make some changes and I hope this can evolve a bit more so I can recommend it to non-coder types. It choked on embedded outlook messages for instance.

Hello,
I am very very new to this/these products and am looking for a little support to get me started in the right direction. I was hoping that maybe you could help me on the correct way to install SPS and WSS based off of my company's particular needs or setup. We currently have a website that I would like to replicate to our new server that runs Window 2003 Server on it and has SQL Server 2000 on it. Can we talk about it some, I don't think I would take up too much of your time?
Respectfully,

I have been looking at this problem as well. Someone suggested looking at delegated authentication, but I have not got that to work yet.
The only solution for public folders in Sharepoint I have come up with so far is to allow anonymous access to the "public" virtual directory in IIS on your OWA server. This means that if you enter the address of a public folder (e.g.
http://servername/public/staffcalendar/?cmd=contents&view=weekly
) it will go straight to it with no authentication - but this takes off security for public folders. To make this more secure, you could instead create a copy of the public virtual directory (in IIS 6 you can save its configuration to a file, then create a new virtual directory from the file) with an unguessable name, and only remove anonymous access for that. Your main public folder is secure and the copy (which you use in Sharepoint Page Views) is not likely to be hacked as people will not know it exists.
Hope this helps.

All of a sudden my battery indicator in the upper right hand corner goes white with a red x through it. Phone still works. I think it charges up but not sure.
I talked to someone at Palm who wanted me to do a battery disconnect. I couldn't do it. I pressed K and return and then at the same time reset and it did not do the battery disconnect.
I can't find anyone who has resolved this problem. How did you determine that you needed to replace your battery?

Basically it was a educated guess. Since the phone was out of warranty the best thing to do was to replace the battery otherwise I would be w/o a phone. If your phone is < 1 year you can take it to a sprint store and they will exchange it for you in a few days.

how did you setup the built in 'companyweb' to use SSL? I have contemplated the same, but don't know how to implement. Is it all IIS config's or did you have have to actually move the companyweb into the default webiste (enabling
https://default.com/remote
- or
https://default.com/exchange
or
https://default.com/companyweb
(after the redirect)) --thank you!

I am not actually using the internal company web site.
But what you will need to do is setup another Web Site in the IIS MMC. When you configure the site, you will need to configure the host header with the dns name of your internal address, i.e. mycompany.local. Finally in order to use SSL you will have to assign a second IP address. Multiple web sites cannot share the same ip address when using SSL.

Thanks Alex. Are you then assigning the second IP address to the NIC, then in IIS assigning that new IP to the SSL site? Back to your writeup, since you're using SBS, did you create the sharepoint site inside the 'default' website (which is where we access
https://default.com/remote
)? With your setup, does typing
http://public.mydomain.com
get you the root website,
http://mydomain.com?
that's interesting to note you're using SBS in a virtual server environment :-)

Yes.
Assign the ip address to the network interface. Then within the IIS MMC click on the properties for the site. In the "Web Site" tab add the IPaddress to the site using the advanced button. Also add a host header so IIS can identify for which url to use for the IP.
This won't work with the configuration I have using my ISP as I will need two externally accessable IP addresses.

" did run into one issue with the lens, some dust and fibers were present under the lens, very visible when at the widest zoom point. I brought the lens to Canon and they said, due to the construction of the lens, zooming in and out can potentially draw in dust into the lens. Additionally he tried to convince me that the dust cannot be resolved by the camera’s sensor. (BTW they brought my lens to a technician and he blew the dust off the element, but the particles could still be present...)
Personally, no offence to Canon but this is unacceptable. They should either replace the lens or clean the lens properly, vs. blowing. By giving me some story of why the product is the way it is, is not the way to do business. Especially for the amount of $$$ spent on the Lens. Maybe Nikon is better….
"
You must be sily. Dust can get into any lens (except some L series), and that's OK..
It does not affect the picture a lot. if it's usual dust - it usually doesn't affect at all. (depends on the ammount, ofcource)

the 700m is as cheap as $699. 1 drawback is the videocard is not powerful enough! It IS not upgradeable unlike the 600m. Had I known this I would have bought a 600m. Normally you have blue or red to show friends and foe, not on the 700m and that sucks!

You are an idiot if you do not get a DLP TV. The picture is infinitely clearer that LCD or plasma and does not suffer from the woes of burn-in or a limited life span. If you want something to hang on a wall then get a plasma and replace it every 5 years. The worst investment possible is an LCD projection TV as it is the same cost and size as a DLP with a lower contrast ratio and a picture quality that looks like fingerpainting. Trust me. Go to a store and compare them side-by-side. BTW, Samsung makes the best DLPs and is on 5th gen now. I own a 3rd gen and if you use HDMI with their proprietary DNIe technology, you will *** your pants at how good it is.

Based on the date of this posting, I assume you installed build 5384? I am on the beta program and loaded 5384 as well. At first, I was excited. I did get screen rotation to work but no glass. If you force the display adapter to use the Intel Lakeport drivers, you can get glass, but screen rotation no longer works. I could live with this for now as I am sure MS will work with Intel to resolve this. They are BIG fans of Toshiba laptops. I could not get the buttons or fingerprint reader running either but that will come in time, I'm sure. My biggest frustration was with trying to play a dvd. Neither MCE or WMP11 would play a DVD. WMP11 reported that it could not play it due to copyright protection. MCE gave me a black screen as it started to play and all I could do was go back to the menu. Going to Tech Ed in Bostion in a couple of weeks and I couldn't be without my DVDs :) I am back on XP Tablet edition again and waing to see if anyone gets around the issues or if MS drops another build before Tech Ed - would like to take something workable with me. As for Office 2007, so far so good. I am liking it so far. Brian

I don't think they make a bay battery for the M400 to replace the DVD drive. I wish they did. I ordered a second main battery and plan to hibernate and switch when necessary. I didn't want the buik of the slice but would really like a bay battery.
