Seeking recommendations for a 802.11g router

Warning:

This article is more than 45 days old and thus may be somewhat out of date. Please keep this in mind when reading the post. If this is a tutorial, please check whether you are using the same versions mentioned in the article.

I've been considering picking up a new 802.11g router (I have an older Linksys 802.11b router right now), since my new Toshiba has a b/g card.

My approach in the past has always been just to buy whatever is on sale that week - I've never noticed a discernable difference between the various routers. However, I've noticed that some routers are better than others with XBox Live!.

So does anyone have any experiences / recommendations to share about 802.11g routers? If you know it works or doesn't work with Live!, I would love to hear about it.

(For example, according to the compatibility chart, some of the SMC routers are explicitly not compatible and others are not listed period - but I was under the impression that the Microsoft routers, which are compatible, were just rebranded SMC routers).

Update: I ended up ordering the Netgear WGR614 that Matt mentioned below. It was listed as Live! compatible and I got a good deal on it through Amazon.com. I was also able to use some Amazon GCs that were going to expire at the end of the month.
