The unannounced ThinkPad X60 Core Duo Tablet PC Mar 02, 2006

Warning:

This article is more than 45 days old and thus may be somewhat out of date. Please keep this in mind when reading the post. If this is a tutorial, please check whether you are using the same versions mentioned in the article.

I just noticed that someone unearthed details of an (as-yet) unannounced Thinkpad X60 tablet.

Intel Core Duo Processor L2400 (1.66GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB)
Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC 2005
512MB of memory
12.1" XGA Display (1024×768)
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
60GB HDD
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g)
8 Cell battery with up to 8 hours operating time

A Dual Core tablet at a little over 3 pounds and 8 hours of battery life would be absolutely killer . I really hope the XGA (1024x768) screen resolution listed is wrong. More supply issues? Does IBM use the same panels as Toshiba?

f only this had a high resolution screen, I would definitely have to think hard about upgrading. As it stands, I think I'll stick with my M200.
