  EchoStar acquired by Sling Media

  EchoStar has acquired Sling Media for $380 million . While this is interesting in and of itself, the timing is particularly curious considering Sling just announced a deal with competitor DirectTV to bring its NFL Sunday Ticket to the desktop .   How do you get started raising venture capital?

  Alex commented on my previous post about raising too much venture capital. This is great. However, some of us are really puzzled by the whole VC process to begin with. It would be nice to get some "semi instructional" slash "story of my life" about making a transition from the basement...   Unlocking the iPhone

  Fred is unlocking his iPhone . I'm waiting anxiously to see how this turns out. If all goes well, I may have to consider picking one up myself especially in light of the price drop.   Justice Department says ISPs are like the Post Office

  As reported on TechCrunch , Department of Justice said imposing Net neutrality regulations could "could deter broadband Internet providers from upgrading and expanding their networks to reach more Americans."
